The Far North Quilt Trail was initiated on the traditional territories of the Dena Peoples of the lower Tanana River - we gratefully acknowledge this in thanks to the original inhabitants that stewarded this land since time immemorial.
Wild Rose is the first barn quilt on the Far North Quilt Trail painted by a community member. Rebecca Missler of North Pole was inspired to paint this barn quilt after reading about my effort to start Alaska's first quilt trail in an article in the Daily News Miner in December of 2019.
She picked this lovely quilt pattern after some research online and being inspired by the wild roses that surrounded her property.
