An avid arts supporter and fan of the Far North Quilt Trail Project, Kimbo Maher commissioned this painting from quilt trail founder Somer Hahm. Kimbo selected the design of the 8-sided star and requested that the colors be inspired by the boreal forest of Fairbanks. We installed her quilt in the fall of 2019, and this block recently moved to its present location and was the one of the first barn quilts on the Far North Quilt Trail.
