Missy Rees is the heart and soul of Aurora Borealis Cooperative Preschool (ABC Preschool). Missy has been a great friend and supporter of the Far North Quilt Trail, and has the most amazing barn at her home Moose Creek Farm. I donated my time to help her paint this "Slip Knot" pattern, and ABC combined resources to gift her the cost of paint and supplies she needed as a collective Christmas gift. We completed this painting in two days over about 11 hours with the help of Missy and Chloe Petersen. The quilt block was color designed by Missy's niece Taylor Kane. It was truly a wonderful quilt to collaborate and paint!
